Designed particularly for women in peri and post menopause, this program doesn't bombard you with training and exercise plans and routines, instead it's designed to help you understand what your body needs to train effectively for extended walking, to help you recognise what you need to prioritise for your body, to help you put together your optimal training plan for your life and goals, and to take you on that journey, at a sustainable pace, over that 12 weeks. It covers: Week 1: Choosing a hiking or travelling goal, and creating a training plan Week 2: Finding meaningful progress markers to help you know if you're progressing + 15 min strength workout Week 3: Digital coaching session by email to check your form and help you incorporate the program so far Week 4: Building walking endurance sustainably Week 5: How to strength train well Week 6: How to build cardiovascular fitness without exhausting yourself Week 7: Vitamin training - how to incorporate all kinds of movements into your training plan that your body needs, impact, balance, coordination etc Week 8: Functional flexibility, what do you really need Week 9: 30 minute workout pulling it all together Week 10: Pain and injuries, how to prepare yourself for if/when they happen and to be proactive in your response Week 11: Second digital coaching session by email Week 12: Reflection on what's working and where to from here to keep moving towards your goals The program incorporates: -2 x digital coaching sessions via email -biomechanical assessments of form -weekly video educational content
